Hello, this is quite a hard post to say so I'm writing it of course. This Easter is like any other, we wake up, run down the stairs to see what Easter eggs we got. Then just spend the day together eating ALOT of chocolate. But this Easter is different, although happy this EASTER is a hard day but don't worry all there is, is good and amazing memories.
This Easter is my Nanna's birthday !!!
But sadly she passed 4 years ago nearly 5. And although I normally put up a post of Facebook and a picture on Instagram, I thought now I have a blog I can spread her story and love on to you. This Easter is going to be the best Easter because I know she will be with us the whole day.
Firstly I would like to wish my Nanna an amazing birthday, that she will share with all her family here and there in heaven. With the biggest presents and the most beautiful flowers. But I hope her biggest present is all of us thinking of her on her special day. We all love you Nanna xx
Now I want to share some stories that I love to think about, when I'm feeling down (having a bad day) or just before I go sleep. Lets just say most days. This is a time that I will always remember is when she always came round on a Saturday to come talk or see what we are up to. But she would always bring a treat like donuts or cookies, always knowing what was the right treat. Sometimes she even brought presents like books or new dolls. In return me and my brother used to do shows for her like puppet shows or plays. Its was soo nice to see her smile. That was the biggest gift.
Another story is, now she is in a wheel chair but not to worry because I helped her out :0)
She used to get me to do her hair and scarf styles ready to go ASDA and guess what day its on. A Saturday. We would zoom round the shop picking out the best food for her tea, and picking out £1 worth of sweets, with ASDA's 30p chocolate bars. But I think over all the fun shopping was when we got to go in the café. The corner seats was our spot, (its gone now but you can never stop seeing it)
I remember she mostly got chips but she could never forget her mayo. Although most of it went down her and dad used to say "cant take her anywhere" my fav quote.
ASDA is still my fav place because walking in that door always reminds me pushing her in her wheel chair ready for the next adventure outing.
My last but not only last story I have is my last birthday I had with her. I was 12 years old on the 18th November, when she was in the hospital getting new treatment. We had already picked out presents before from Nanna but one of the biggest presents was going to see her in the hospital. I was with my family, my true, never leave me on my own, never abandon me, family. We hanged out, talked went round the hospital. And although my memory is bad I can still remember the first time I walked through the room doors to see my Nanna in the bed waiting for us. That was the last birthday I had with her, but I know every birthday, Christmas, Easter your there, your there every day and all I need is to talk to you and you'll be there.
We may be apart from your birthday but I will always remember the last.
You are the most creative, kindest, loving Nanna and I will truly never forget you. I love and miss you sooo much xxxx
